DragonVale is a free collection and resource management app in which you collect various dragon eggs, hatch them, and train them. There are more than 250 dragon breeds in the game, and you can breed them together to get eggs for breeds that you don't yet have. The center of operations for the game is a series of floating islands high in the sky. You build structures and decorations on these islands and customize them to your liking.

Collect treats for your dragons and feed them regularly so they will grow into their fully adult forms. Once your dragons are trained a bit, you can enter them in contests, races, and other various quests that will allow you to win amazing prizes. Seasonal events see the introduction of new dragons and activities, and the game is available to share through social media so your family and friends can see your creation. If you have any friends who also play the game, you can send gifts to each other through the game.

The visuals in this game are spectacular when you consider it's technically free. Of course, there are in-app purchases behind every door, but it is possible to disable them.
